The Crossroads Vermont workshop is complete and what a great workshop it was!!! Any workshop is exactly as good as the people who come to learn and stretch and experience a new area and we were blessed to have a wonderful group of inquisitive and very talented photographers.
Crossroads workshops are all about learning to take photos that will help the selected non-profit organizations better achieve their mission goals. For Crossroads Vermont we worked with two non-profits; the Dorset Equine Rescue and the Vermont Land Trust. After hearing about their imagery needs the class worked together to develop a shot list for the week. Instructors and participants alike formed a team and went out on a photographic scavenger hunt looking for the best images to tell the story of our two non-profit partners. Each day included shooting on location as well as editing and reviewing our shots. As a group we considered what we had successfully captured, and what was still missing. By the end of the workshop we had great success! Each of our partner organizations received over 100 beautiful images free of charge, no strings attached, for them to use for marketing, promotion and fundraising. We were delighted to be able to support these worthy causes, and we learned a lot in the process.
Thank you to Ruth Connor and Darin Reed for all of their hard work, keeping me somewhat sane and on track all week. Thanks also to Lisa Cueman for sharing her vast knowledge of horse photography. Here are some of the favorite images from the workshop. Thanks to all of you who made the workshop a big success for each other as well as our partners. If you were not able to join us this year, Crossroads will be back in Vermont in of June 2016. Why not join us?
